 Virgie Fisher

Virgie Fisher is a nationally known designer for the Fairflield and Bernina Fashion Shows for over 16 years. Her work has been featured in galleries, books, magazines and TV appearances. She was the first textile artist to be invited to hang her work in the California State Capitol for over 7 weeks. Virgie did an exibit in the Governor's Hall where she displayed her famous Sacramento Sesquicentennial quilt and invited several quilters to join her, including Alex Anderson of Simlpy Quilts. Virgie was commissioned by Wells Fargo to create 6 art quilts which have been displayed in the world headquarters building in Sacramento, California for 16 years. The list of accomplishments are pages long for Virgie.  She has joined her daughter at Studio D-og where she creates high end, posh dog couture. The two work together designing elaborate clothing for a clientele from Hollywood and Beverly Hills to NYC.

Below are photos of Virgie latest Bernina Fashion Show Ensembles as well as links to pages with more of Virgie's art. There is so much that needs to be scanned and added to this site! The 2005 garment was featured on Alex Anderson's pod cast #13. Look for her 2008 design which will debut at Houston Quilt Market and Festival, Fall 2008.
